Skimmer

We saw an excellent presentation by Robert Hill at the Atlanta Botanical Garden two weeks ago titled 'Snakes of Georgia'. Robert is an amphibian specialist with the ABG's Amphibian Program.

So it was Robert that we called to help us positively identify the new visitor that we have in the pond. Amelia thought he was a Ribbon snake, but Robert said he's a Garter snake. We reckon about 2 1/2 feet long and he is an excellent swimmer. This would explain the dwindling fish population.
